When I launched Fine Dining Explorer in 2007, my intention was simple – to share my experiences of world cuisine with fellow foodies, taking as our starting point the restaurants listed in a number of Influential Guides. Not for a moment did I think that this small exploration would become a life long journey.

Over the years, I have personally experienced, and fully documented, every dish served by hundreds of acclaimed restaurants in cities across six continents. I was even the first to complete the World's 50 Best (2012). My work has been featured in The Guardian, London Times, Forbes India, The New Yorker, and Waraku (a Tokyo based lifestyle magazine) and, in 2017, a selection of my best dining experiences were translated into Mandarin by a Beijing-based publisher. The resulting book, 奢华餐影全球行 - Fine Dining Explorer, is thought to be among the first in China to describe personal experiences of fine dining around the globe.

Today, this website continues to provide you with a comprehensive list of which restaurants I consider to be the best, and hopefully with your own experience, you will also consider them to be the best!
