When I launched Fine Dining Explorer in 2007, my intention was simple – to share my experiences of world cuisine with my friends and family, taking as our starting point the restaurants listed in a number of Influential Guides. Not for a moment did I think that this small exploration would become a life long journey.

Over the years, I have personally experienced and fully documented every dish served by hundreds of acclaimed restaurants in cities across six continents. I was even the first to complete the World's 50 Best (2012). My work has been featured in The Guardian, London Times, Forbes India, The New Yorker and Waraku. In 2017, a selection of my best dining experiences were translated into Mandarin by a Beijing-based publisher. The resulting book, 奢华餐影全球行 - Fine Dining Explorer, is thought to be among the first in China to describe personal experiences of fine dining around the globe.

Today, this website continues to provide you with a comprehensive list of restaurants that I consider to be the best, and hopefully with your own experience, you will also consider them to be the best!
