Gambero Rosso

Gambero Rosso (Red Shrimp) is an Italian magazine all about food and wine. In 1989, it created the Italian Restaurant Guide, which soon became one of the most popular restaurant ratings in Italy. Gambero Rosso has expanded further, from food and wine rating to culinary school to TV channel.

Restaurants are rated on a point-scale from 1 to 100 divided in four categories: 60 in cooking; 20 in wine cellar; 10 in service; and 10 in ambiance. Bonus up to 3 points can sometime be awarded. In 2014, Gambero Rosso reviewed almost 2,000 restaurants in Italy. Only 21 restaurants have achieved a score of 90 or higher (Three Forks). Below are some of the top rated restaurants.
